Once joining Springpoint Choice, members are provided with immediate peace of mind–among many benefits, they are paired with personal care navigators dedicated to providing the one-on-one attention that helps them age in place and remain at home longer.

Springpoint Choice has four dedicated Personal Care Navigators that are available to our members 24/7–two located in New Jersey, and two located in Delaware. Meet our team!

Maria Elena Zoccali, Manager of Personal Care Navigator (NJ)
Joan Rubin-Kritz, Personal Care Navigator (NJ)
Diane Willoughby, Program Director (DE)
Elaine Carbaugh, Personal Care Navigator (DE)

The day-to-day activities of a Personal Care Navigator are never dull–they assist our members with everything from personal matters, lifestyle logistics, financial organization, medical appointments and transportation, long-term care guidance, and most importantly, companionship.

“We become like a family to our members,” says Maria Elena Zoccali. “They ask us all sorts of different questions because they trust our judgement. We deal with all aspects of everyday life as one ages.”

Our Personal Care Navigators serve a wide range of individuals. If you or a loved one enjoys remaining mostly independent and active, only one face-to-face meeting is required annually. Even when healthy, ongoing contact will be tailored to your wishes and made at the recommendation of your care navigator.

If you or a loved one feels more comfortable with additional time and attention, care navigators are happy to schedule regular weekly or monthly check-ins. Nowadays, they can be done right over the computer.

“I taught several members how to Zoom during the COVID-19 pandemic,” Zoccali explains, “and we still use it now!”

And this Springpoint Choice advantage extends to more than just the immediate member – we make sure that all family and loved ones feel supported and involved.

“We treat everyone as an individual – that includes getting to know their families,” says Zoccali. “That’s just one part of what makes this a very rewarding job – family members always say that we make this sometimes difficult experience so comfortable and humbling.”
